Palmistry, an ancient practice rooted in diverse cultural traditions, offers a unique lens through which to explore cultural variations in interpretation. This comparative study aims to investigate how palmistry is understood and applied across different cultural contexts. By analyzing literature, interviews with practitioners, and case studies, this research examines variations in the significance attributed to palm lines, shapes, and markings among cultures spanning Asia, Europe, Africa, and the Americas. Findings highlight nuanced differences in interpretation influenced by cultural beliefs, historical contexts, and socio-economic factors. Insights gained from this study contribute to understanding the interplay between cultural diversity and the universal human fascination with divination practices. This research underscores the importance of cultural competence in the practice and interpretation of palmistry, offering implications for cross-cultural dialogue and the integration of traditional knowledge systems into contemporary research and practice.
